We typically work on a "Time & Materials" basis, charging for hours worked (which sometimes includes travel time, and time to acquire & deliver materials), plus the materials costs. This is true especially for smaller projects, though we provide a free educated "guesstimates" (formally know as an "estimate") calculating the expected costs. For larger projects we will often work on a "fixed price" basis, or "time & materials" with a "not-to-exceed" price cap.

We are able to provide the services of licensed master plumbers & electricians as a higher rate for projects requiring their licensing & specialized skills. These are subcontractors whose work & work ethics we know well, and maintain the same high standards of quality control & customer satisfaction as we do. Offering their services & coordinating their work can make the customer's life much simpler, with us providing a "one stop shopping" alternative, and assuming the headaches for managing the schedules of multiple contractors.
Terms & Conditions
MATERIALS ACQUISITION & DELIVERY
For all "time & materials" projects, we charge for all the time we spend on the customer's behalf, including shopping for & delivering necessary materials. This is NOT applicable with fixed-price projects. We will work with customers who own large enough vehicles & have the time to shop for their own materials; helping to limit the overall project costs by furnishing them with detailed materials lists.
TRAVEL TIME
For most "time & materials" projects of less than 1 day duration, we charge for the time we spend traveling to the customer's site. This is not applicable with fixed-price projects. And it doesn't apply if the project is our first of the day (our staff gets paid for every hour they're on the clock, but not for their time driving to work). All of our work is local, so that the typical travel time is between 30 & 60 minutes.
MINIMUM PROJECT SIZE/DURATION
We have a minimum project charge of 1 hour (parts of which might be applied toward travel, or materials acquisition). So if you have a 15 minute project, the charge will be for at least one hour. Collecting multiple tiny projects & having them completed all at once will turn out to be much more cost effective for the customer than hiring us for each individual task.
